Desktop app for hydraulic modeling

A GUI for building, configuring, and running ANUGA hydraulic models.

DEM import (single-file, including GeoTIFF), mesh refinement, interior holes, riverwalls, rainfall, roughness zones (including GeoTIFF roughness grids), inflows, culverts, boundary conditions, erosion/scour operators, Set_Stage initial conditions, and BOM STS tidal boundary inputs, plus GeoTIFF/shapefile post-processing after a run — with results (Depth / Velocity / Depth Integrated Velocity GeoTIFFs plus velocity vectors) importable straight back onto the canvas with one click, for on-the-spot visualization and model refinement.

Free to download. Windows installer (CPU-only build). Linux & macOS builds coming — see platform support.

What's in the box

DEM import

Single-file GeoTIFF and .xyz point clouds, straight onto the canvas.

Mesh & geometry

Mesh refinement, interior holes, and riverwalls.

Rainfall & roughness

Rainfall and roughness zones, including GeoTIFF roughness grids.

Hydraulics

Inflows, culverts, and boundary conditions.

Operators & conditions

Erosion/scour operators and Set_Stage initial conditions.

Tidal boundaries

BOM STS tidal boundary inputs.

One-click post-processing

GeoTIFF/shapefile export after a run, results re-importable to the canvas.

Integrated viewer

Launch the ANUGA Viewer directly from the app.

Platform support

Linux / Ubuntu-Debian

Fully supported

GPU acceleration (NVIDIA HPC SDK), MPI, and the full Run flow.

Windows

Confirmed end-to-end

Verified end-to-end, CPU-only. This is the installer above.

macOS

Installs cleanly

Terminal-launch flow doc-reviewed, not yet hardware-verified.

Documentation

The full manual and install guides live in the repository, kept current there rather than duplicated here.
